Oluwakemi Fagboro, Deputy CMO of the MBA for Africa 2023 program is an Afrobeat/Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and content writer musically known as Chemmie. Oluwakemi began her career in music professionally in 2019 and so far she has released several successful singles and collaborated with renowned producers and artists. Her freestyles and covers on social media have garnered attention from industry veterans. Oluwakemi’s performances at various events and concerts, including the Flutterwave Flytime Fest alongside Wizkid, have further showcased her talent. In February 2023, she released her EP “A Piece of Chemmie (A.P.C.)”, which combines English, Yorùbá, and Pidgin English to create compelling Afrobeat music. Chemmie aspires to push boundaries in the genre by incorporating African sounds and relatable lyrics.
