Meet Giwa Emmanuela Morenikeji, affectionately known as GEM, or PemmaGiwa Tha GEM, with titles like “Female Emperor” with peacock energy. A 23-year-old music executive, hailing from Lagos, Nigeria, specializing in music distribution, A&R, and songwriting. In September 2019, she unveiled “Plug Mania: The Emperor’s Plug” (@plugmania_ @emperor.pemmagiwa), a music platform designed to support female music bodies and, provide A&R services, songwriting expertise, talent/legal guidance, music distribution, and digital marketing support for indie, emerging, street, female, and gospel artists. Beyond the music scene, GEM extends her expertise to diverse domains.

Engaging in car sales & rentals, beach houses, and boat/yacht leases through GTA (Gem Transpo Arena) @gem.transpo.arena and also brings her creativity to life through bag and footwear-making. Balancing academics, GEM is a final-year Sociology student at the University of Lagos. Simultaneously, she’s part of MBAforAfrica 23, under the Eximia Entertainment label and contributing to the A&R and Label service team. Here, she aims to sharpen her music business skills, creating a harmonious blend of academia and industry prowess.
